Episode 029 | RECORDING BABEL
In this episode, the band recounts their trip to El Paso, Texas, to record Babel at Brainville Studios with Chris Common. After a two-day drive through Utah and into the desert, they settled into a poolside Airbnb, fell into a routine of Starbucks mornings, studio days, and late-night hot tub soaks. Between sessions, the band explored local food spots (including a running Taco Cabana joke) and attended the El Paso Chihuahuas’ opening night baseball game. The trip also marked their public reemergence after months of blackout, with a March 30th studio video signaling the next chapter for Ranges.
