RANGES is an instrumental post-rock band from Bozeman, Montana. Formed in 2014, the band has spent more than a decade building an expansive catalog defined by patient composition, dynamic weight, and an ongoing commitment to treating each release as part of something larger.

Concept and presentation have remained central to the band’s work. Albums are connected through recurring themes, symbols, and narratives, while elaborate physical editions extend those ideas beyond the music itself. Limited vinyl pressings, handcrafted packaging, cassettes, books, printed matter, and other objects have become an integral part of how RANGES approaches the album as both a musical and physical work.

RANGES has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe and has made multiple trips to China, performing at festivals including dunk!festival, A Colossal Weekend, Post. Festival, Offside Festival, and CAN Festival. The band’s live performances emphasize the same gradual development and dynamic range found on its recordings, moving from restrained passages to overwhelming crescendos.

Outside of its recorded catalog and live performances, RANGES has contributed music to commercial and cinematic projects for Polaris, Vans, Winnebago, and Four Wheel Campers, alongside original scoring work for short films. More than a decade into the project, the band continues to approach its music, artwork, physical releases, and live performances as interconnected parts of an evolving body of work.
